Funding Needed for Flood Victims
As flood waters have begun to subside down the Mississippi river, the Red Cross continues to operate shelters, readying supplies and providing food and refreshments to relief workers throughout the affected areas.
The Mississippi Gulf Coast Chapter has deployed four local volunteers to Cedar Rapids, Iowa: Harold Boudreaux (serving as a service associate), Mary Ann Wells (serving as a service associate), Margaret Allington (serving as a client caseworker) and Grady Carden (serving as a warehouse manager). These South Mississippians will remain in Cedar Rapids, for three weeks to help that community recuperate from the disaster. [MORE]

The Gulf Coast Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross is here for you in times of disaster. During Hurricanes, we open area shelters, offer transportation, and help in the aftermath by provide food, water, and monetary goods to all victims.
